At noon, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam hosted a State Banquet in honour of His Excellency Dato Laila Utama Prabowo Subianto, the President of the Republic of Indonesia who is in the country for a State Visit.

The State Banquet began with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr. Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

His Majesty in a titah says the special ties based on similarities in history, religion and language are the foundation in fostering mutual harmony between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia.

His Majesty in the titah also says that Brunei Darussalam remains committed to working closely with the Republic of Indonesia and other ASEAN partners in safeguarding interests in the region.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, in his speech, expressed his highest appreciation for the special welcome received during His Excellency's State Visit.

His Excellency expressed that the Republic of Indonesia was very proud of its good friendship with Brunei Darussalam.

The two countries also work closely through regional and international cooperation including ASEAN, APEC, OIC and BIMP-EAGA.
